Learning Design Changes
Upon reviewing peer and instructor feedback for my Learning Design Solution, there are a couple of changes I would make if I were to implement this project in my building.
The first change I would make would be to create an opportunity for specific teachers to agree to a more guided opportunity. This would include more regular check in's throughout the semester, as well as provide a more 1-1 interaction.
Secondly, I would consider offering teachers a choice of engaging with the learning solution during 2nd semester. This allows teachers more flexibility, especially those who may need an opportunity to restart a new school year on a better note after how this past year was affected by the pandemic.
Lastly, I would aim to provide teachers the opportunity to expand beyond using Google Apps in the classroom and add a branch within the learning solution that provides them a chance to experiment with Google Assessments on Schoology. Our district has been using Schoology as our main Learning Management System for several years, but the pandemic forced many faculty to rely on it more heavily than they ever have in the past. Working to bridge Schoology with Google Apps for education would help our faculty even further in joining two resources available to them that students are familiar with.
